Registration Information

Dear Dance Family,
The 2018-2019 schedule includes new classes, new teachers and new performance companies. This is CACD’s seventeenth year in business, and we are growing and excelling in every aspect of dance education each year.

Please note that the ages are intended as a guideline for placement. I am happy to assist in finding the most appropriate level for your child.

All registration fees and the first tuition installment is due by September 1st in order to determine appropriate class size. Class size is limited and will close when full. Classes begin Saturday, September 8th.

Registration fee is $35 per student. The per student tuition for the year is as follows:

  • One hour weekly: $600 — $60 per month
  • One and a half hours weekly: $850 — $85 per month
  • Two hours weekly: $1150 — $115 per month
  • Three hours weekly: $1750 — $175 per month

Base Company Tuition:

  • Mini Company: $175/monthly
  • Juniorette Company: $225/monthly
  • Junior Company: $225/monthly
  • Intermediate Company: $225/monthly
  • Senior Company: $225/monthly

Tuition is based on the months of September through June. It is not a per class fee structure. Tuition is due the first of each month. Tuition may be paid in full, quarterly or monthly. There are no refunds for missed classes. Tuition received after the 10th of the month will be charged a $25 late fee. Returned checks will have a $25 fee charged to the students account. Checks may be mailed or dropped in the locked slotted mailbox outside of the studio entrance.

Quarterly payment schedule:

  • September 1, 2018
  • November 1, 2018
  • February 1, 2019
  • April 1, 2019

Company Dress Code:

For all company classes, the following dress code is required:
BALLET: Pink tights, pink ballet slippers, black leotard , black ballet skirt optional. Hair in bun.

COMPANY CLASS: Black dance wear. Black leotards, tights, shorts, leggings, etc. HAIR must always be tied back away from face.

BALLET IS REQUIRED OF ALL COMPANY DANCERS

CONTEMPORARY HIP HOP COMPANIES (Courtney): Black dance wear, Hair off face, black Vlado shoes (can be found on line or at Journeys)

TAP/JAZZ COMPANIES (Heather): Black dance wear. Hair off face. Tap/Jazz shoes.

ATTENDANCE: Multiple absences will jeopardize company placement. The group as a whole is negatively impacted, in addition to the individual dancer.

Recreational Dance Dress Code:

BALLET: Pink tights, pink ballet slippers, leotard. Hair must be tied back and away from face.

JAZZ/HIP HOP: Leotard and tights/jazz pants or leggings. Jazz shoes. Hair back

JAZZ/LYRICAL: Leotard and tights/jazz pants or leggings. Jazz shoes. Toe Undies. Hair back.

HIP HOP: Black Vans, dance wear, hair off face.

TAP: Leotard and tights. Tap Shoes. Hair back.

There will be no classes:
Columbus Day
Wednesday, November 21st through Sunday November 25th
Monday, December 24th through Tuesday, January 1st
Martin Luther King Day
February school vacation ( public school system)
April school vacation (public school system)
Memorial Day
A SAVE THE DATE memo will be sent out to all company dance families within the first two weeks of classes.
